FILM & FASHION

GUCCI TIGER FILM

Gucci made a cinematic statement at London Fashion Week in 2025. Rather than presenting its Spring/Summer 2026 collection on a traditional runway, Gucci premiered The Tiger, a 30-minute short film directed by Spike Jonze and Halina Reijn and starring Demi Moore, Edward Norton, and Elliot Page.

The film tells the story of Barbara Gucci, Head of Gucci International, as she invites her family and a special guest to celebrate her birthday.

Beneath the perfect surface, Barbara struggles to everything together, protecting her company’s legacy, impressing her journalist guest of honor, being a mother, and control issues. When the night takes an unexpected turn, the family begins revealing the cracks within.

Throughout the film, the characters wear creative director Demna’s La Famiglia collection, blurring the lines between couture and cinema.

This shift from runway to brand storytelling through film demonstrates fashion’s increasing interest in collaborating with the film industry to deepen emotional and cultural engagement.

In 2026, we predict to see more fashion brands connecting with film visuals when presenting new collections.

VOGUE WORLD: HOLLYWOOD

The Vogue World: Hollywood event in October 26, 2025 deepened fashion’s relationship with the film industry by transforming a runway into a cinematic event.

Held in the heart of Hollywood, the event mixed couture with live performances, choreography, and featured actors, directors, models and performers as a single cultural production.

Vogue World: Hollywood was immersive in connecting fashion with cinema and was built for global audiences. It signals a shift away from presenting clothes in isolation and toward emotionally scaled storytelling through strong visual mediums.
