Fashion Activism with Stella McCartney & Vivienne Westwood

Stella McCartney

Since the beginning, luxury British fashion brand Stella McCartney has used sustainable materials including grape-based leather alternatives, eco-friendly rayon and recycled cashmere.

The brand further utilizes UNECE blockchain traceability technology within their regenerative cotton supply chain.

Fashion Designer Stella McCartney has actively spoken against fast fashion garment worker conditions along with the negative environmental impact of animal-made products such as wool and leather.

Stella is the daughter of Beatles legend Paul McCartney and American photographer Linda, who were both animal rights activists who had wrote protest letters to companies with evidence of animal abuse, boycotted fur, and published vegetarian cookbooks.

Stella McCartney met with world leaders at the U-7 and the U.N. Climate Change Conference to co-found the $200 million Collab SOS Fund for climate solutions.
