Companies such as Google and Amazon have been working to perfect the virtual try-on for fashion consumers for years. However, a new startup company called Doji beat them to the punch.
Doji is a downloadable app that takes the user on a unique virtual fashion try-on experience.

Create your personal avatar through AI-powered software and try on products to explore new looks. The avatar generation process takes an average of 30 minutes, after the user has uploaded six selfies and two full-body images.
Get personal recommendations from fashion brands based on your activity.

Doji raised $14 million in funding days after launching their app. The funding will go towards AI-model improvements.
“I think people who have explored this idea before either haven’t had the technology chops to make it good or the taste to understand what actually makes a person feel good about an image of themselves,” Founder Dorian Dargan stated. “We have invested a lot in core technology to ensure the way you perceive yourself through images is interesting and inspiring.”
